Here I go again! Steps for Youth homeless.

As you all know I love some crazy challenges and I struggle to say no to a walking event especially to the one closest to my heart that being Property Industry Foundation STEPS event which is lead by the Future Leaders committee (that I sit on) for the first time last year and I won’t lie I was pretty proud of what us as the FL committee created both fund raising amount which all went towards our Shepparton homes and the turn out was way more than we could have asked for.   

Property Industry Foundation (PIF) for those of you who don’t know it is a charity that builds homes for youths around the country, they are then supported by other charities like Light House Foundation and they provide support workers and help prepare the kids for adult life and provide them with the best opportunity to join society and obtain employment.  Approximately 40,000 young kids aged 15-24 seek help and 1 in 2 are turned away due to the lack of beds.  PIF provides them with a home that is permanent, and they won’t be kicked out of.  Sadly, however we don’t have enough homes to house 40,000 of them but we have built over 200 bedrooms to date and the number is growing and that is due to the support we receive from the construction and property industry.   

I am kindly asking you for a small donation to help us raise funds to build the next home (location can not be disclosed as yet for this one sorry but will be closer to the deal being finalised).  What is even more exciting, I have managed to round up an extra 12 PG employees to join the walk / run for the day so we have a huge representation on the ground this year and Plan Group have sponsored the event along with other sponsors.
