WMK Architecture is pedaling for homeless youth!
WMK Architecture understands the importance of helping address the youth homelessness crisis because everyone deserves a safe, secure place to call home.
Housing is more than just shelter. It provides stability, dignity, and a foundation for education, employment and health. It creates the opportunity for young people to thrive and grow and is something every child deserves.
Last year, 40,000 young people aged 15–24 asked for help. 1 in 2 were turned away due to lack of beds
Through thoughtful and inclusive design, architects, together with the broader property and construction industry, can play an important role in creating affordable, adaptable and supportive housing solutions. This is exactly what the Property Industry Foundation is working towards through its Haven Project, and what the WMK Architecture team is proudly cycling to support.
By creating places that foster safety, community and wellbeing, architecture can help break the cycle of homelessness and provide young people with a stronger foundation for the future.
