This year, Pedal for Homeless Youth is evolving to make an even greater impact in the lives of young people experiencing homelessness. With two exciting new elements, the 2025 edition promises to be our biggest and most inclusive event yet.
A High-Energy Launch Event – 30 April, Post Office Square, Brisbane
We’re kicking things off with a vibrant launch event on 30 April at Post Office Square in Brisbane, and we want you there! Brisbanites are invited to hop on a stationary bike and spin their way to a smoothie. It’s a fun, energizing way to get a taste of the Pedal for Homeless Youth experience, learn more about the cause, and show early support for the upcoming July event.

Ride Your Way – Anytime, Anywhere
Can’t make it to Queen Street Mall on the big day? No problem. For the first time, you can ride your way, at a time and place that suits you. Whether it’s solo or with a team, indoors or outdoors, morning or evening—you can now make a difference on your own terms.
Why We Ride
“Every night, while many of us sleep soundly, more than 8,600 young Queenslanders aged 15–24 are homeless,” says Antoinette Rusby-Perera, State Manager QLD, Property Industry Foundation. “These young people often face dangerous, uncertain conditions as they search for shelter—especially as the winter cold sets in.”
That’s why, on 24 July, Queensland’s property and construction industry will come together at Queen Street Mall in a high-energy cycling challenge to raise vital funds for The Haven Project. This initiative helps provide safe, secure homes for youth experiencing homelessness—giving them the foundation they need to thrive.

How You Can Help
By taking part—whether at Queen Street Mall on 24 July or by riding your way—you’re doing more than just pedaling. You’re helping to build real homes, real futures, and real hope.
Gather your colleagues, friends, or family, and take this challenge on for a powerful cause. It only takes minutes, but the impact lasts a lifetime. You do not need to be a keen cyclist or a spin class goer, all fitness levels are welcome. Your participation and fundraising will directly support the creation of homes for homeless youth, offering much-needed stability for vulnerable young people.

Register today, rally your team, and let’s ride together to end youth homelessness in Queensland.
Let’s ride for change. Let’s ride for hope. Let’s Pedal for Homeless Youth 2025.
