Mirvac's Hard Hat BBQ Raises Over $20,000 for Homeless Youth
In 30 years of this work, we've seen what happens when the property and construction industry decides to show up for young people. Bedrooms get built. Lives get rebuilt. The Haven Project exists because people like the team at Mirvac believed the industry could be part of the solution, and then proved it.
This year, we're proud to spotlight Mirvac as a Foundation Hero, having raised more than $20,000 so far in support of homeless youth across Australia.
Trading Tools for a Cause
The Mirvac team traded their usual morning break for a Hard Hat BBQ at their Harbourside site in Sydney on 14 August 2026. The team downed tools and rallied together with staff, tradies and suppliers. It's a powerful reminder of what the construction and property industry can achieve when they unite behind a cause.
Their timing couldn't be better. Hard Hat Week kicked off a week later, bringing property and construction teams together nationwide to fundraise for young people doing it tough.
A Milestone Year
This year is extra special for the Property Industry Foundation. We're celebrating our 30th Anniversary and a huge milestone: 300 bedrooms delivered to young Australians who needed a safe place to call home.
