Trinity Fitout & Construction's Hard Hat Day barbecue on 10 October was a smashing success – raising $12,550 for homeless youth. In an extra show of support, Trinity then matched each donation dollar-for-dollar, bringing the total amount to $25,100.
Ben Lloyd, Managing Director, was blown away by the generosity of their community, who doubled down on their support for vulnerable young people. “We hosted a Hard Hat Day at our Edmund Rice College project site in West Wollongong, bringing together over 50 people from our site team, head office, subcontractors and suppliers. We set out to raise $5,000 - but thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone involved, we raised $12,550. In solidarity with everyone who donated, Trinity matched the full value of all donations, bringing our total fundraising amount to $25,100.”

The atmosphere on the day was buzzing. “It was a fun, collaborative - and very hot! - day on site,” shares Ben. “Everyone came together to talk, laugh and share stories over the BBQ - a true reflection of the camaraderie and team spirit that defines our sites.” When all the donations were counted, Ben and his team were staggered to discover they had raised five times their original target. “We were absolutely thrilled by the generosity and support of our team, subcontractors and suppliers in achieving this result,” says Ben.
The Foundation’s Hard Hat campaign allows the industry to put their own stamp on their fundraising initiatives and involve their communities in giving back. “Hard Hat gives us the opportunity to support the Foundation and the vital work they do to end youth homelessness. But more than that, it brings our team, subcontractors and suppliers together for a shared purpose.
Coming together on site to make a difference and celebrating that impact as a team is what matters most to us.”
With double the dollars, comes double the impact and Trinity couldn’t be more grateful for the kindness of their crew. “A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated, supported and joined us on the day,” says Ben. “Your generosity made a real difference and it’s your support that means the Property Industry Foundation can change young people’s lives.”
Thank you to all our supporters for your Hard Hat efforts this year – together we raised $25,001
