Built - 10 Years of Building Hope

10 Mar 2026

2026 marks 10 years of support from Built as Principal Partner of the Property Industry Foundation’s Brisbane Charity Regatta.

“Celebrating 10 years together is a meaningful moment for us, and we’re excited to mark this achievement and continue supporting the regatta into the future.”
– Christian Adamson, General Manager, QLD Built

This milestone clearly demonstrates Built’s ongoing belief and commitment to supporting homeless youth by providing safe accommodation and programs to get them back on their feet. We talked to Christian about why Built are proud to partner with the Brisbane Charity Regatta – setting sail again on 15 May from Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron.

This is Built's 10th year as Principal Partner of the Brisbane Charity Regatta - what does this mean to the team?

What a milestone! Reaching a decade as Principal Partner is an incredible milestone for both Built and the Brisbane Charity Regatta. Being part of this journey year-after-year is something our entire team is extremely proud of. This long-standing partnership reflects our strong belief in the work the Foundation does and the shared values that underpin our relationship. Celebrating 10 years together is a meaningful moment for us, and we’re excited to mark this achievement and continue supporting the regatta into the future.

What changes have you seen to the regatta over the past 10 years?

Over the past decade, we’ve seen the regatta and the Foundation evolve in truly meaningful ways. The growth of the regatta has mirrored the strength and maturity of the Property Industry Foundation as an organisation, with its impact across the community continuing to deepen year after year.

The regatta has gained significant momentum and remains a highly valued and much-loved fundraising event for Built and all involved. It’s been especially rewarding to see returning sailors come together annually, strengthening the sense of camaraderie between teams while collectively increasing fundraising efforts, which remains at the heart of what the regatta is all about.

Why is the Brisbane Charity Regatta such a special event for Built and the industry?

The regatta is a special event because it brings the industry together in a truly meaningful way. It creates an environment where professionals can unite, connect and sail side-by-side, all while contributing to a shared goal of creating more beds and better outcomes for local youth.

As a long-standing Principal Partner, Built has seen first-hand the value of the Brisbane Charity Regatta - not only for those who take part, but for the lasting and tangible impact it delivers within the community.

The event provides a unique platform for industry professionals to strengthen relationships, collaborate beyond the workplace and collectively achieve positive social change, which is what makes it so special for everyone involved.

What does the considerable regatta fundraising mean to homeless youth in QLD?

The funds raised through the regatta make a tangible and life-changing difference for homeless youth across Queensland. Through our long-standing partnership, we’ve seen first-hand the impact the Property Industry Foundation has had in providing stability, safety and opportunity for young people who need it most.

In the current climate, with cost-of-living pressures at their highest and thousands of young people facing housing insecurity, the work of the Foundation is more critical than ever. The regatta’s fundraising directly supports solutions to this very real and growing challenge.

Built is proud to support the Property Industry Foundation as they continue to deliver homes for homeless youth across Brisbane, creating meaningful and lasting outcomes for individuals and the broader community.

How important is it that the property and construction industry unite for youth homelessness?

Collaboration across the property and construction industry is critical in addressing youth homelessness in a meaningful and sustainable way. As an industry, we have the skills, resources and capability to deliver real solutions - and when we work together, the impact is significantly amplified.

The work the Foundation does to support vulnerable and at-risk young people most in need is incredibly important, and we strongly encourage others across the industry to get behind this cause. Youth homelessness is a pressing issue affecting communities across Queensland, and it’s imperative that we put our expertise to use where it can make the greatest difference.

Through initiatives such as the Haven Project, the industry can combine practical action: building safe, secure homes, with long-term, systemic change. This collaborative approach creates lasting outcomes for young people and demonstrates the powerful role our industry can play in driving positive social impact beyond the built environment.

Will Built be out on the water this year?

Absolutely. Being out on the water is one of the highlights of the regatta for the Built team. It’s a fantastic opportunity to connect with industry peers, strengthen relationships and enjoy a great afternoon of sailing, all while working towards a shared goal of raising funds to support homeless youth.

While it’s certainly one of the most enjoyable days on the event calendar, complete with plenty of laughs and a healthy dose of competition, the Brisbane Charity Regatta represents something much more. It reinforces Built’s commitment to creating positive social impact, supporting the Foundation’s mission to deliver more beds for local youth and helping address the youth housing crisis in a meaningful way.

What are you most looking forward to?

We’re most looking forward to getting back out on the water alongside industry peers and seeing the collective impact we can create together. The regatta has a great energy about it and brings people together around a shared purpose.

For anyone considering taking part, we’d strongly encourage you to sign up and give it a go. No sailing experience is required, you’re supported by experienced crews, and the day is as enjoyable as it is rewarding. It’s a fantastic way to connect with the wider industry while raising vital funds for an important cause, and there are few better ways to make a meaningful difference.

Join your industry peers for a fun, meaningful day out on the water at the Brisbane Charity Regatta – sail to support homeless youth building projects and initiatives that create real change.
