Hiking the Kokoda Track for a Cause: My Journey to Raise Funds for PIF
Hello friends, family, and supporters!
I am excited to announce that I will be hiking the Kokoda Track in Papua New Guinea to raise funds for the Property Industry Foundation (PIF) to support homeless youth.
Why Support PIF:
37% of homeless people in Australia are under 25. The majority of young people that seek help for homelessness are turned away from homeless services due to a lack of available services.
As a professional in the property industry, I believe we have a responsibility to help.
PIF unites the property and construction industries to build homes for homeless youth and provide ongoing support.
Fund Allocation
100% of donations will go directly to PIF. I am personally covering all my own travel and other expenses.
About the Kokoda Track
The Kokoda Track is a 96-kilometre trail in Papua New Guinea, known for its historical significance and challenging terrain.
Some of the challenges include:
- Physical Challenges: Elevations up to 2,190 meters require stamina and strength.
- Mental Fortitude: Long days of trekking, often up to 10 hours.
- Environmental Factors: High humidity, heavy rainfall, and various wildlife.
How You Can Help Support Homeless Youth
Support my fundraising efforts:
- Donate: Any amount is appreciated.
- Share: Spread the word about my hike and the PIF cause.
- Encourage: Your support will keep me motivated.
