Youth Homelessness
Every night there are 4,500 young people in Queensland who are without safe and secure housing.
Young people 12 to 24 years of age make up nearly 21% of all the people who are experiencing homelessness in Queensland.
Affordable, suitable and stable housing is fundamental in ensuring the economic, social, psychological and physical wellbeing of young people.
For over 10 years in Queensland, the Property Industry Foundation has been working with the industry to increase the supply of accommodation
for homeless youth.
Our mission is to increase the number of bedrooms available for homeless youth and support initiatives that have a tangible impact on youth homelessness.
We do this through partnerships with other charities, companies and staff in the property and construction industry.
