Michael Rayner AM – Director, Blight Rayner

Michael Rayner is a Director of Blight Rayner Architecture formed in 2016. He was previously Principal Director of Cox Rayner Architects which he established in Brisbane in 1990. In both capacities, Michael has contributed widely to the urban design quality of Queensland, and he has been integral in the creation of major international public buildings such as the National Maritime Museum of China in Tianjin and the Helix Pedestrian Bridge in Singapore.

Michael is a Life Fellow of the Australian Institute of Architects and a Fellow of the Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering. In 2011, he was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for services to architecture and urban design in Australia, and to the Queensland community. He has been an Adjunct Professor in Architecture at the University of Queensland since 2009, and an Adjunct Professor in Architecture at Griffith University since 2014. But most importantly, Michael has been an advisor on the QLD board of advisors for the last 10 years.

Alison Quinn – Non-Executive Director

Alison is a professional non-executive director with more than 25 years' experience as a CEO and senior executive in the property development and aged care/seniors’ sectors.

Through her roles with public, private and government organisations, Alison has developed valuable operational and commercial expertise in the areas of property investment, funding, infrastructure and development. Uniquely, Alison has significant expertise on the impacts and challenges of Australia's ageing population and has been at the forefront of thought leadership regarding meeting the housing, care and other service needs of the baby boomer generation.

Alison has a great depth of experience in developing strategies that drive sustainable growth, a strong customer perspective and a passion and understanding of how property as an enabler can deliver both financial and holistic outcomes.

Peter Hyland - Director, Urbis 

Peter Hyland is an internationally experienced advisor on business strategy, urban planning and development and urban economics.

He has led large multidisciplinary teams on projects including inner city renewal and new city developments, major port and airport master plans, and resort and shopping centre developments. Peter’s experience spans Australia, the Asia-Pacific, Europe and the Middle East. He has postgraduate qualifications in urban planning and economics.

Peter is passionate about helping cities and projects achieve great economic outcomes, to underpin the development of vibrant and successful places that benefit developers, users and residents. His ability to marry economic and planning considerations has made him a trusted advisor to major Australian private and public companies and all   levels of government.

Peter has led many projects to successful outcomes, including the Greater Springfield new city development, the Urban Renewal Brisbane rejuvenation project; and a major transit-oriented development in North Ryde, Sydney.
